About this lecture:
Myopathy, or weakness due to disease of the muscle, is often seen in several common endocrine disorders. Weakness may be part of a constellation of symptoms, but it can also be the presenting complaint. Therefore, diseases of the endocrine system must always be considered in a patient who presents with weakness. This lecture will review an approach to weakness and myopathy, and then discuss the endocrine myopathies in more detail.
